8 World Area Forecast System (WAFS)

The World Area Forecast System provides the worldwide aviation community with operational meteorological forecasts and information about meteorological phenomena required for flight planning. These are issued in Grib2 format.

8.1 Issuing Centre

8.1.1 Description:

This service responds with a list of files issued by the issue centre (i.e. EGRR or KWBC).

8.1.2 API Call:

GET /aviation/wafs/{issuecentre}

8.1.3 Path Parameters:

issuecentreEGRRA supported WAF issue centre: EGRR, KWBC.

The issue centre must be uppercase.

This path parameter is Mandatory.

8.1.4 Example:

This example would return files issued regarding meteorological information and phenomena needed for flight planning from the specified issue centre. These files are provided in Grib2 format.
